Chick-Flick

Morning Glory
This movie features an attractive workaholic who get fired from her job on the morning show Daybreak, but then gets rehired as the executive producer. Becky usually abandons her love life for her job, even when she really does fall in love. When Becky fires the previous co-anchor, she finds a new one, but he has been doing hard core news for years and was reluctant to give up his job to be a co-anchor on an unpopular morning show. The conflict between Mike Pomery and Becky Fuller is hilarious, and the struggle to get the show's ratings up is humorous on a different levels. This movie deserves at least four and a half stars. In this circimstance, when they say PG-13, they mean it. It includes bad content and a lot of swearing, but overall the story is good.

Letters to Juliet
This movie starts as a couple going to Rome as a honey-moon. Sophie, the main character wanders the town because her fiance is working. She sees people posting letters on a wall to Juliet. This classic chick-flick type tale starts classic and ends with a twist. It is one of the funniest romances I've seen, and it also has a hint of seriousness in it. I give it five stars for the humor, classic yet different love story, and the idea that true love never ends. It appeals most to women of most ages. It really would be boring for any girl under the age of eleven.
